Are contact lenses right for you? Our exam will determine just that. We will review your medical history; then, your optometrist will use our specialized equipment to conduct a visual acuity test, assess your tear film quality, and evaluate your overall eye health.
Once we have determined that you’re a good candidate for contact lenses, we’ll move onto the fitting. Advancements in modern eye care mean that contact lenses are now available in a range of styles to better suit your needs.
We’ll take precise cornea and pupil measurements and discuss how contact lenses can improve your vision. From there, we’ll select contact lenses that will be the most comfortable fit and give you the clarity of vision you are looking for.
We’ll show you how to insert and remove your lenses properly and will work with you until you get the hang of it. We’ll also explain how you should clean your contacts and answer any questions you may have.
Once we’ve determined which contact lenses are best suited for your eyes, we’ll send you home with a few trial pairs of lenses. This will help us ensure we’ve chosen the perfect lens for you before ordering a supply for you.
We will schedule a follow-appointment with you approximately one week after your initial visit. At this time, we’ll discuss how your lenses are working out and if we need to try another style or brand. We’ll work with you until we find a style and brand that provides you with clear and comfortable vision.
